Upstate SC GM Truck Club Fall Picnic
The 6th annual Upstate SC GM Truck Club Fall Picnic will be held Saturday, October 26th at Lake Cooley in Inman, SC. All the information you need to know about the picnic is listed below!
Registration begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 11:30. Pre-registration is $15 and will end Monday, October 21st. Registration the day of the show is $20. Everyone that registers will receive a door prize ticket and will be eligible to vote.
There will be two food trucks on site that will start serving at 11 a.m., One Love Fusion Foods and Southern Smoke BBQ. Food is not included in your registration fee.
After registration is over, there will be club apparel (t-shirts, hats, etc.) available for sale. We will be set up to take cash or credit card payments.
Around Noon, we still start to announce 5-10 door prizes every 30 minutes. Your door prize number is your entry number. If your name is called, visit the door prize table and your name will be taped to the item you won.
Like last year, we will also hold a 50/50 cash raffle and a canned food drive. In addition to the cash prize, we've already had Dakota Digital provide us with a free electric fan controller that is valued at $120 and we have two $50 gift cards from Eckler's. Forever Sharp has donated a double barrel steering wheel package valued at $180. No Limit Engineering has donated a shock relocation kit for 63-72 trucks and we have a set of LS swap headers from Speed Engineering.
Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will be used to buy toys for Middle Tyger Community Center's Caring for Christmas program and will also be used to help stock their food pantry which is currently very low. A list of items needed for the pantry is listed at the bottom of this post.
Voting will begin around Noon. Each person that has registered a truck will get to pick their three favorite trucks. Awards will be around 3:30 and there will be 10 plus Fan Favorite awards and the core members of the club will pick the Best Rust and Best Shine trucks. These will be the two trucks featured on the club's 2020 t-shirts.
Something new this year will be the Fall Picnic Pre-Party at Carolina Truck Shop in Spartanburg. From 5-8 p.m., the shop will be open and picnic registrations and goody bags (for the first 100 entries) can be picked up Friday night. ***Please note, due to rules for the Lake Cooley pavilion, alcohol is not permitted at the lake. Also, absolutely no burnouts at the lake or in the residential neighborhood leading up to the lake. Finally, dogs are not allowed. Please leave your furry friends at home.***
