Michael's 1969 GMC 2500 was originally purchased new by his grandfather. This truck spent part of it's life as a farm truck before Michael brought it to us for a complete restoration.

The fenders, doors and bed were in great shape, but the firewall and floor of the cab were full of rust. We found a replacement cab, and rebuilt the truck with the new cab and all of the original sheet metal. The frame, suspension parts, wheels and rear bumper were all powder coated before reassembly, while a new front bumper and grille replaced the original parts which were not able to be saved.

Michael and his grandfather had swapped in a later model small block 350 along with a Dodge NV4500 manual transmission. We opted to keep this drivetrain since they were in good shape.

For the interior, we restored the original door panels and a few other components. When items couldn't be saved, we used quality aftermarket reproduction parts from trusted vendors. We recovered the seat, refreshed the gauges, and added a Custom RetroSound radio and Vintage Air for the AC & heat.

The bed wood has been replaced with pine boards and stainless steel hardware from Trucks USA and Michael stained the boards himself.
